A Psalm of David > Bible Verse and Mediation > Pace to Begin the Day > Though for each Day >
The pace with which you begin the day, is the pace you will maintain throughout the day.
Eknath Eswaran
There is a saying in India that if you skip one day's mediation, it takes seven days to catch up.
Morning meditation and quiet time is our daily "soul food".

It sets the course of our day and aims us in the right direction.

We can use morning as a time of renewal, centering, and new beginnings, a time to gently let go of yesterday and create an attitude of positive expectation for the new day.

Days that begin with hurried neglect of our spiritual needs are not going to be healthy.

Giving ourselves the gift of a morning prayer time sets a gentle pace for a balanced day.

Tea, sun-shine, birds, and new light are the gifts we give ourselves in our morning prayers and meditation.
Instead of feeling hurried and out of balance, we can start each morning with serenity.
Mediation frees us from worry and grants us peace to sustain our hearts the whole day.
